Sales and Purchases

We advise clients in buying and selling commercial real estate, whether the client is a REIT, a developer, or a company whose primary business is other than real estate. We use our negotiation and transactional skills to help our clients close their deals quickly and efficiently. At the same time, we use our judgment and experience to skillfully and effectively protect our client’s legal rights and business advantage. We represent clients buying and selling properties throughout the United States, with a particular focus on office, retail and mixed-use buildings in New York City and Long Island.

Commercial Leases

Property managers, landlords and commercial tenants recognize the value of experienced counsel with respect to leasing arrangements. Our Commercial Real Estate Practice effectively represents landlords and tenants in drafting and negotiating leases, sale-leasebacks, and ground leases for all types of commercial properties. With respect to existing leases, we provide guidance through analysis, interpretation, advice and litigation support. We also assist commercial property managers negotiate and draft management contracts and other operative agreements.

Real Estate Financing

Our Commercial Real Estate practice handles a diverse variety of real estate financing matters. We use our wide experience with real-estate finance to help borrowers raise capital through acquisition loans, construction loans and letters of credit. We counsel lenders and borrowers on financing and re-financing transactions involving senior, mezzanine and subordinate equity tranches. We also advise on restructuring troubled mortgages and working out distressed assets.
